ETHGlobal along with Optimism, Arbitrum, and Scroll are vibing in Africa, currently touring two major cities in Africa.
Ethereum teams are in Africa to check out the thriving local ecosystems in Kenya and Nigeria to talk about building, community, and L2s! In cooperation with Borderless Africa and accompanied by Arbitrum, Scroll, and Optimism, they are keen to learn from everyone in the community! This will help build strong connections, collaborations, and coordination between African builders, communities, and various L2s. here’s the event outline. it’s already started..💯💯

The Lagos event will take place from 31st July to 1st August 2023.
Here’s a brief breakdown of the Lagos meetup;
Day 1 - Ethereum community meetup, 31st of July 2023
his is an opportunity for you to Come to connect with others from the Nigerian ecosystem and join engaging discussions on the most exciting developments in Ethereum, Zero Knowledge, and the roadmaps of several Layer 2s.
While this event is open to the Ethereum community, there are only limited slots left so go register!
Day 2- L2 dev workshop and fireside chat, 1st of August 2023
There are two events happening on day 2.
The L2 dev workshop is a deep dive into deploying with L2s, Zero Knowledge, and hands-on workshops. There’ll be some knowledge-sharing and collaboration within the developer community. If you’re a dev interested in L2s or currently building on L2s, there might be an opportunity for you to demo your project so come with your PC.
For the Fireside chat which kicks off at 4 PM WAT, expect open discussions on the practicalities, pain points, opportunities, and trade-offs for building projects on Ethereum Layer 2s and on the state of the Nigerian ecosystem.
Do note that both events are capped and curated for project leads and Ethereum community builders so you will need to send in an application to get entry on that day as there are limited spots. So go send in your application and Goodluck!
