To dey govern na one ogbonge area wey be like say e dey usually choke for DAOs. The tori no different for the team for Bankless Africa. We don gree say we go dey publish newsletter every two weeks, wey we go use dey yarn pipul about the plenti aspects of governance inside DAOs and we go try ginger members make una sef put hand for the matter.

We Seff Sabi, Governance No Sweet🙃
Whenever time don reach for decentralized organizations like DAOs to make decisions like this, vibes go just check die out, e go be like say ginger no dey again. No be say people no care but dem no dey remember say dem gats take action. E just be like cancer and this loss of ginger don slowly build hin root for organizations wey be say dem suppose dey run things by themselves. This matter na just another case of members wey no gree drop their web2 behavior for the gate of web3.
In real life sef, governance wack, no be today something. We sabi say many citizens don commot mind for this matter as per everything don turn politics, instead make the masses enjoy equal and fair governance make everybody happy, na so so “promise today fail tomorrow” many people dey experience. Nah en con turn sheets and sheets of promises wey dem no fulfil, and neglect for da public infrastructure. E no longer dey represent person like before again, nah party interest E dey protect wella, suppression of forces wey dey oppose dem too dey there. So, I sabi say if dem no handle governance wella, E no go make sense.
The Human body Na Self-Regulating Machine; Try Dey Learn From Am
We no fit avoid am sef. As per say we hate one tin and we no wan agree say e dey exist, or we no one involve ourself inside am no mean say e no go dey exist anymore. Becos say we no too care about governance no mean say we no need am, en dey only allow incompetence and corruption to dey thrive wella. Your bodi for instance eeh, nah one entire organism wey dey built around en own system, en dey always function, en no need your permission. Dem dey call am homeostasis for biology.
Britannica tok say homeostasis na "any self-regulating process wey biological systems dey use maintain stability as dem dey adjust to conditions wey dey optimal for survival. If homeostasis dey successful, life go continue; if en no dey successful, wahala go dey, or death fit happen." E get one kain way our body parts dey function. Na your lungs dey control pH amount for your body, your digestive tract dey make sure say toxin no stay for your body and na your heart and your brain dey work together to dey maintain healthy levels of the blood pressure by speeding am up or slowing am down. Your brain nah engine house. Nah your brain dey control una thoughts, memory, emotion, touch, motor skills, visions, breathing, temperature, and hunger. E dey in charge of every process wey dey regulate your body.
Oya make una chill small try imagine say una lung yarn say en no wan dey regulate the body pH again, imagine again say en stop to dey take air, or una small intestine no dey digest again, come talk say, “make large intestine do en work”. For that tori ehh, una brain go sound alarm and the alarm go send am go into frenzy. You go come dey feel am through some kain pain and if the pain no gree stop ehn, en fit cause other body parts to shut down or even to kpai seff.
<aside> 💡 Decentralized autonomous organizations don give all man the power to dey put body inside collective governance and autonomy. If he come be say just one single person no really send about the decisions wey dem dey make and the matter wey concern operations just like others dey send, the organization go suffer am.
</aside>
DAO need pass people wey just dey hold governance token or voters, people wey en need na members wey dey really concerned about en maintenance, growth and jolijoli. En need members wey dey involved for their day-to-day operations wey pass only to just dey do tasks. En need people wey go dey guide and protect am, na actually lungs and brains en need, en need you and me gan.
Shey you go show up?
Wetin Dey Shele for Inside DAO Governance?🧐
Governance Participation: Perils and Promise
Author: Dan Wu
The way wey people take dey put body for DAO governance dey poor. Na governance dey make sure say DAO realize en mission wey go foster people to dey put body inside am in a meaningful way; en dey also help reduce risks and the costs of coordination wey dey inside DAO. For most cases eeh, treasury management, project funding and people wey dey contribute for inside and outside DAO be the decisions wey DAO need make people put mouth for the matter. Data result wey Orca gather show say members wey dey put body for voting dey reduce as DAO dey grow in size. DAO wey large no dey too get people wey dey vote, en dey as small as 5% when you compare am to smaller organizations. DAOs and protocols dem get as small as 3.5% people wey dey vote and put body for 70 on-chain proposals.
Delegation na another governance aspect wey still dey fall through cracks. Inside DAOs, people wey dey hold token na the people wey dem dey allow to dey transfer the voting power wey dem get to other members, thereby delegating their voting power to people wey dem trust and saving their members time. As this be the one-way wey DAOs bin think say dem go use solve the low participation problem, e no come solve much of the problem based on say the people wey dem delegate no dey even vote seff. ¾ of all $COMP delegates neva even cast a single on-chain vote.
This Voter lack of interest fit be because of some kain reasons wey include:
Information accessibility: Plenty governance tools’ poor user experience fit dey affect members’ ability to dey easily access governance information; designing more user-centric governance dApps fit dey help improve things.
Engagement and participation: DAOs dey unable to look beyond just the need for people wey dey vote. For reality, they need people wey get the kain right mindset to make well informed decisions.
Accountability: Dem dey hold members accountable for the DAO’s mission and values? DAOs need the kain delegates wey go stand behind the decisions they don make.

Proposals Wey Dey Active 🔥
Restarting the BA FB Guides
Innovator don put up proposal to restart BA educational guides on Facebook. “The nice thing with FB guides be say even rural Africans go fit see them because say FB dey offer discount on web access, where en be say even Google no dey do am. Even Africans wey dey on a tight data package budget go fit still access global level education”.
Building an Open Community
ThinkDecade dey always push us to dey think deeply about Building an open community wey go help us prevent deliberate and non-deliberate governance attacks, and also to dey foster Web3 culture. En don highlight the many flaws and challenges wey the community dey experience currently and also the kain way members of the DAO fit dey use familiar alliance to sway community consensus, lobby voting their way, and sign up for positions wey them no too dey equipped to handle. En don tie this kain harmful behavior to the African mindset/political culture wey dey see positions of responsibility as “power” and greed. E yarn sey Bankless Africa need better governance framework wey go encourage core community members to act as knight guards in order to prevent these bad actors from infecting the community further. “The last thing we go do na to come dey re-create the same destructive traditional governance systems for our community with the same cultural mindset. Las las, we gat to evolve, we fit do better!”
The Need for Coordinape Education
Innovator beg us sey make we pursue Coordinape education program as once again, some members bin follow the best practice which na to dey allocate all their GIVE kpatakpata to others wey dey inside the Circle. For this Coordinape allocation mata, ETrinity007 dey reason say en fit be the problem of lack of time, and visibility wahala as people dey reward those wey dem dey see wella over those wey dey work wella for background.
